Over the June holidays, our teachers arranged a trip consisting of the Boy Brigade and the Girl Brigade. Before the trip, everyone was extremely excited and everyone was discussing about it enthusiastically. The preparation took up a lot of time to ensure that we brought what we needed and not long later, it is time for the flight to Cambodia! The duration that was written on our booklet was one hour but in actual time, it is two hours because the time that was actually slower than Singapore by one hour. There, we finally reached our destination. It was the first time I went oversea with my friends in Riverside Secondary School so I decided to use this opportunity to know more and bond with my seniors and peers. After unloading what we had into our hotel room, we headed off to the killing field. It was a disgusting and cruel sight. Bones and pieces of shirts were everywhere on the ground. Expectantly, the tour guide actually took one of the many bones and showed us. I nearly fainted. After he explanations about how this people died, I knew the cruelty of humans. They had many rounds of torturing the people who died here before killing them in inhumanly ways. In order to respect those who died here, we prayed. Here, this is the first tour side we visited.
Luckily, there is a human rights that protect us from all of this horrible treatments and nevertheless, there is also one of the animals because like human, they also have feelings. I hope that everyone would be kind to others and treat them with respect because you wouldn't want to be treated the way you doesn't want as well.
